Turning her curly dark haired head over her shoulder Maria looked back at her friend, and egg hatching companion "Emma, come Professor Paton said in class that water could be good for our eggs. All dragons must love warm things?"
When Maria suggested meeting out here to work on the hatching their eggs, Emma was honestly hesitant because she had definitely been hoping for an Opaleye and from reading about the breed possibilities, she wasn't keen on being near water for her best chances. But also Maria was a seventh year and dragons being so dangerous it was of great comfort to the fourteen year old.

Following the older dark-haired girl out towards the duck pond had admittedly piqued her curiosity. "Only if you're hoping for a Ridgeback, i think? Cause they like water?" It was entirely a random process for what dragon breed they'd get. "I'm hoping mine's an opaleye, so I guess I shouldn't put mine near the pond." Setting down her glitter-blanket wrapped egg in the grass, she sat cross-legged next to it, as she pulled open her notes on dragons. Sparkle and shine, so perhaps the sunlight would help do the trick since it did sparkle?

She kind of wished she wore some more sparkly attire. Could she leave her egg here and run back to the common room and change? Maybe she should try singing something. "Twinkle twinkle little egg.... how i wonder what you are...." she cooed softly, grateful that it was just Maria here who was probably one of the least judgmental out there, when it came to hearing her sing.
