Celeste waited patiently and watched as more members of their traveling party arrived in the tower classroom. The astronomy professor passed the jumping rope to each person so they all had hold of it at some point. The better not to leave anyone unexpectedly behind and miss the field trip altogether. No one seemed to have any questions for her, so she merely nodded in acceptance as her timekeeper showed it was almost time for them to leave. Best to give her final instructions to prepare in time.

“Alright…fur those who hev never travelled by portkey afore, ‘is rope tis our portkey. They ur usually made from innocent muggle items in case one has tae be concerned about being around th’ muggle world.” Technically that wouldn’t be the case in this little adventure since they would be on the private property of a wizarding family but that was the reason for the use of such a simple object. “Be sure tae keep hold until ye are are solid footing once more at our new location. Ye don’t want tae risk getting lost.” Not that she had ever lost anyone before.

"When it is ready...th' portkey will glow," Professor Gert continued. "Then a few moments later ye will feel a slight pull around yer stomach and then voila." It seemed she had finished up just in time as the jumping rope portkey appeared to have merely been waiting for her last word before it did exactly as she mentioned...began to glow. "Hold tight..." she repeated before the pull took hold.

You soon enough find that you are no longer indoors and the temperature around you is several degrees warmer. A testimony that you are no longer in Kansas anymore...or rather Scotland. If you are lucky you remained on your feet, but even if you didn't, the soft grasses now beneath everyone would soften your fall. A beautiful garden greets you and the astronomy professor can't help the smile that graces her wizened face at the familiar surroundings.
