~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

A breakdown of the incantation’s meaning was always helpful. Aryan updated his notes as Gert spoke, feeling quite ready to actually try out the spell, which should be sometime soon… Oh yes, he would also love to watch a solar eclipse in the proper manner in the near future.

With the opportunity to use the spell, Ary collected one of the glasses. Back at his seat, he picked up his wand, taking one last chance to mentally repeat the incantation. Content with his progress so far, the boy happily affixed the glasses on his face, ensuring the thing was properly perched upon his nose. “Corona Protegat,’’ he declared confidently. The wand was moved in a counterclockwise spiral followed by a flick towards the centre. To his utter surprise, the light from the model eclipse was not as bright as it had been before the spell had been cast. In awe, Ary lifted the glasses to his forehead. Yep, the eclipse was bright. The glasses were dropped back in place. The light and glare faded immediately.

What a handy spell!

The third year decided he wanted to practise directly on his eyes now so the earlier steps were repeated with the same level of confidence. Needless to say he was quite delighted with the positive results as he saw there grinning with his now dim-ish vision of the ‘solar eclipse’.

Best Astronomy lesson ever!
