~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Knowing Drake as much as he did now, Ary would fully have understood Drake wanting to be Sorted with Gilly. He himself hadn’t dwelled at all upon the idea of wanting to be in the same House with any of his siblings, even when there had been a Hatstall between Slytherin and Hufflepuff. He had simply let the Hat place him where was best. Had he been placed in Hufflepuff, he would have been the third member of the family there; the other two members being Dad Adi and Dy. As far Ary new, he was the only Slytherin; living, that is. “Nope,’’ the boy replied honestly. “I was confidents being on my own. And I sorta am happy to be the only Slytherin in my family.” About Dynah, he added, “You’re in for a treat then. The more ardent listener you are, the more she’ll like you.”
Drake would be right: Ary was not at all sure how many creatures his fathers had started off with. It was something he had never thought to ask, having beens so taken up with the ones he had come to know and love. “She did. Does. But of course since she’s a professor nows, she only comes arounds during the holidays.”
His friend was indeed in good hands. Ary’s parents were very responsible, and Ary would like to think that he was so. Even with all the fire breathing and talon slashing creatures around, Drake would be safe. “The dragons? You’re probablys bored of seeing griffs by now,’’ he responded, bounding down the steps and beelining for the door. There were griffs at School, after all.
Hope you can keep up, Drake! |
