Laini had been SooOOooOOoo upset that her time on stage had been cut short by the premature announcement of her House. Like, shouldn't everyone get the same amount of time? Hadn't the founders heard of EQUITY? It was so unfair. She'd be telling the Headmaster immediately. Well. As immediately as she could. Maybe after the feast if she remembered. She would not.
So, yeah. Of course she was upset! Her moment had been whisked away from her in the matter of a light head tap.
But she wasn't upset anymore because three minutes had passed and she was over it now. Naturally. Before making her way to her new House, however, she still haaaaad to make her rounds to Gryffindor and Hufflepuff house to hug Mikey and Olive. Her original plan involved complaining to them, but it, instead, turned into a big love fest. She missed them already!! Besides! Everyone seemed to be so busy still with all the rest of the sortings (which, by the way, were taking WAAAAAY longer than hers had, but who's counting?). So she wandered off to say hello and then slipped into a spot at the Slytherin table just as swiftly.
Wanting to be in the center of the action, she elbowed her way into the middle of the first year crowd - Sydney, Astrid, bestie Elio). "Hi, I'm LAINI!" Though she directed her introduction to the other first years, she threw her hands up in the air and used her projecting voice so that everyone else would know too. "I'm a FIRST YEAR too! Only the hat really rushed with me." But again. Who's keeping track? Not Laini. She was soooo passed that.
Anyway, she turned, wearing a huuuuuuuge broad grin when she looked over at Elio who she had conveniently squished herself next to. "HEY! I know you!" Kind of. Which meant they had to be best friends now because Laini really wanted a best friend and he was the one she had most history with, making the choice EASY PEASY. "Do you remember me?" She also absolutely recognized Astrid Grimaldi, but she wasn't going to be a WEIRDO about it.
