She was prepared for fifth year. Well, Giselle believed she was and that was what mattered. Visualization and all, and she wasn’t about to let anyone in on any concerns she might’ve had regarding exams and such anyway. That was for her siblings, Brandon and Rome. Everyone else was beside the point, or at least below her level of importance unless she needed them for something.
She wasn’t about to charm any of the third years who had so far made their appearance at the Snake table for snogging purposes. Especially not the ones who were practically family as is. But she’d slid into a seat nearby, carefully applied dark green and silver eye makeup with tiny snakes as graphic liner her only indication of pride for her house, and only then turned her attention toward the others.
And subsequently the other students who had gotten the youngest Paton’s attention had also been noticed, although she merely arched an eyebrow to show her opinion. “Hi all”, she said instead, returning her gaze to the younger Snakes. And the obvious newcomer among them. Her sister and Sophia weren’t visible, nor any of the others as of yet, so it was her job to take responsibility with a smile.
“Welcome to Slytherin, Sydney.” She meant it. New snakes were always welcome.
