~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Drake’s smile did calm his nerves a little, and Ary was grateful that his other friend was prepared to help if Bry took a tumble. With Drake going off to decorate elsewhere {sea creatures were more than welcome, especially Bartholomew}, he squinted up at Bry again. Ninja training or not, she wasn’t a kneazle or a cat that she would more often than not land on her feet. He rolled his eyes, nut not without grinning, at her ‘boring’ comment. Of course she’d think that. And…
Uh oh.
Catch her?
Ary suddenly had flashbacks of all those times him and his skinny arms always attempted to catch Bry from one of her fantastic leaps. Sometimes, those attempts never played out well. But in this case, Bry actually landed in front of him and suddenly he found himself in a tight hug with giggles filling his ear. “I would have dropped you,’’ he half jokes, patting her with one hand, the other hugging her back.
Ary chuckled. “Nothings like a party cleans up to encourage the practice ofs spells. Goods going, Drake.” Certain spells in particular were just difficult, and while Ary wasn’t sure how difficult cleaning spells were for Drake, he liked that his friend had practised them just to help out. And gosh! Drake was full of energy, wasn’t he? One moment the other Slytherin was here then there then the next, over at the snack table. With a couple of sour snacks in the mix, Aryan felt more at ease there was something for his liking to snack on. “You can. And then it’ll rots your teeth.” Ary stuck his tongue out at Bry, being quite cheeky but at the same time joking around. “Don’t yous agree, Drake?” |
