At Aryan's response to his question, Drake's face cracked into a wide smile too before he fell into his own fit of giggles, one hand going up to pat the curls. "Well, with all the stairs here at Hogwarts how could we gain anything anyways!" If he had one of those muggle step counter things, Drake was certain his dailys would be off the charts - as would his classmates. "Thank you!" His face felt a little warmer, but his smile remained unchanged, pleased with the compliment.
Brown eyes were searching his friends form to make sure that he did not actually have any injuries, and he quickly determined he did not - right as Ary also assured him. His frantic face relaxed into the earlier smile, and while he went to putt all his strength into lifting up the other boy - the tug to his hand had him abandoning that and instead plopping on the ground beside him. "Maybe I should lighten up on food at dinner." He joked, another giggle before he reached up to tousle his own hair to get it out of the way. "Me and my hair are in no danger!" For the moment, that was. "Well at least we mainly got the task done!" “Sures you are,’’ Ary replied, playing along with Drake because it was more fun than to point out the glaring truth. Which in this case was that his friend was not always an opportunist. “Ahh, goods point. Especially when those moving staircases decides that it’s a goods time to moves when we have to gets to classes so we haves to keep running from staircase to staircase to find the right corridor.” It could get rather annoying. Ary gave Drake a warm smile; he could tell that the other guy liked the compliment.
Drake need not worry. Ary was one hundred percent fine; not even his pride at having to hit the floor so unceremoniously was injured. As much as he didn’t like worrying Drake, a part of him was flattered and happy that Drake was worried about his well being. After his friend flopped down beside him, Ary peered over his bed to assess the effort made to bring the beds together. Yep, that seemed to have worked out well. He then sat cross legged, resting his upper back against the side of his bed’s frame. “I doubt that you cans, to be honest,’’ Ary replied, grinning. “Food’s the love of your life.” He resisted temptation to again reach out to ruffle Drake’s hair. “Definitelys no danger. And we did! All that works made my sleepy go away.” So yeah. He was wide awake. “You wants to sleep now?” |
