Once you give The Fat Lady the correct password, you’ll enter the Gryffindor Common Room. To the side is the game corner, where you can play wizard’s chess, board games, or even a Muggle game console. At the back, two spiral staircases lead to the dormitories—boys to the left, girls to the right—with lion statues guarding each side. Don’t forget to give them a pat before bed; you'll get a lovely roar or a purr in return!

The circular room is decorated in Gryffindor’s signature scarlet and gold, with plenty of plush armchairs, sofas, and beanbags for lounging. A large fireplace, crowned by a portrait of a lion, is the room’s centerpiece—just resist the urge to levitate anyone over the mantel, as an anti-magic barrier will stop you. A portrait of Godric Gryffindor adorns the back wall, along with tapestries and paintings of animals and famous alumni—maybe even Harry Potter himself! There are also a few tables in quieter spaces where you can study or write, while a plaque and a bulletin board provide important announcements. Want to make a name for yourself?
