Was the Honey Badger part of a constellation? “Aye, guid catch, Ms Marchand,” she remarked in confirmation of the girl’s observation. “Tis indeed part of Aquila.” A number! And quite a long one. It wasn't as romantic as a name from mythology, but it certainly sounded impressive--very scientific! But the constellation--Aquila again, the Eagle! So Hufflepuff had to share its constellation with another house; well, perhaps the Badgers wouldn't mind much, they did seem quite the team players. How did the constellations get their names, anyway? Musing on this, Hope thought of another question that interested her. "Professor, it can't be that everyone uses the same names for the constellations all over the world, can it? Do other cultures have different names for the stars?" |
