~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. That was what he S-A-W, actually. Con knew that Addison was hurting and grappling to deal with the trio of babies {because they would always be their parents’ babies} moving out but he thought that she was handling it way better than he was. She had always been the more mature one, his Addison, and he loved her for that. “I don’t believe a word of that. I’ll stick to my theory that you just want to be there first because you’re overly excited.’’ Connor grinned because yes, he did know his wife extremely well. A gentle soul like her would not look for the best creature; he was quite sure that Addison would be quite content to bring home one that needed extra care because it was old or something of the sort. “Because I have to look my best, of course! You never know whom I may attract.” Con grinned wickedly but this wife of his knew he was only joking about wanting to attract anyone else’s attention. “That wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t have to go to work five days a week.” Con was thankful for his work as an Unspeakable at the Ministry; it helped to keep his mind occupied for the most part. Once they had both stepped into the open, the door was locked. Con breathed in the fresh, crisp morning air. Yup, it was going to be a good day. He fell in step beside Addison. “Off we go,’’ he said cheerfully. |
