Maybe it was a Slytherin trait to be so amused by the display of awkwardness. Maybe it wasn't. Well, it probably was since he had his own reason for enjoying it. But the idea of taking advantage wasn't on Denzel's mind at all if one were able to look into it. If anything, such thought was both familiar and a little on the overwhelming side.

"Well, that sounds good. You don't seem to be the type to fake it.. but if for some reason you don't feel happy anymore, I wouldn't be bothered seeing you in a different mood," Wasn't it a worry for the happy types to people please? He didn't care for people-pleasers ordinarily. They usually wanted something out of others in the end. But Denzel wasn't getting that type of bad vibe with him. It was almost.. pure. Enough time with others helped with developing a sense on the kind of vibes other gives him. And these were good vibes.

"You know, you make this kind of easy to do, asking out," Denzel said. "Not that I'm complaining, it's just... refreshing," And he wasn't putting it lightly. Until he paused realizing the nickname he blurted out. "Ah... it's not a bad thing. Just looking at your golden mane of hair," Suddenly it was his turn to feel a bit warm in the face. Usually, he owned up to nicknames no problem. Maybe he was worried about offending the bloke or maybe it was the weather. One could make an easy guess here.
