It wasn’t even like he was usually this shy, he just never thought of himself as an object of admiration like that and the idea that someone was looking completely caught him off guard. That the other was so open and direct over it too was.. well it was something. Still it was a good thing considering Bowie often mistook flirting for other things and could get himself into all sorts of sticky situations.
Bowie didn’t pity others either but he was an extreme empath. “I’d never want others to pity me. I’m happy, I’m always happy. I’ve been pretty content where I am.” That wasn’t to say he wasn’t interested in the prospect, just that it wasn’t a matter of life and death for him.. yet. “I’d like that” the man smiled genuinely, the beam touching his eyes. It was seemingly out of the blue but he’d be a fool to say no. “No I’m pretty easy when it comes to feeding” he chuckled. He liked any and all food just as long as it wasn’t totally bland. There had been a time before he found employment that he’d been living in a house share and relying on beans on toast for all his meals. If he was feeling particularly flush with the cash he’d even add on some grated cheese to the mix.
He turned over his shoulder to look at what restaurant or cafe looked the emptiest when the nickname came out and he almost choked on his own tongue. “Goldilocks?” That was a new one.
