Even going so far as to charm one of her gloves to stick better to the surface. See? Sometimes she could use her head!

At the sound of the charm, Ve looked a little further over her shoulder as she plucked the now floating garland from the air so she could go back to draping it. Catching the familiar face of Nadia, she gave a smile and a nod of her head in hello. She would have waved but… either the garland or her safety would have been the sacrifice for it. “Hi Nads! Thanks for the assist.” Finishing up her work with the skulls, Vera clamored back down the book case, jumping back down onto the ground before peeling off her charmed glove and dusting off some residual dirt from her clothes. “A broom is an excellent idea, and sounds so much more fun! But I don’t know… somehow it seems more like a surefire way to get our Head of House’s attention. I can’t imagine flying around the common room is smiled upon.” Danger and all that, blah blah.

Moving to the couch to rifle through the box for something else to decorate with, she grinned back at the fourth year. “What’re you up to??”
Nadia nodded in return accepting the precarious position her friend was currently in as reasoning against anything else. You’re welcome.” She didn’t need other assistance like getting down herself, no? Her silent thoughts were answered by Vera taking care of the garland and returning to the floor herself. Oh good. “True that…” And since one couldn’t be sure yet if said head of house knew of the intended decorating, you wouldn’t want to bring unwanted attention. It wasn’t like her Aunt Hads was still the person in question that could be persuaded to forgive her. But that didn’t stop Nadia from glancing at the stairwell that led to both their dorms like she was debating if it was still worth it. She had been intending to go flying on her broom anyway after all.

“In between ideas at the moment,” she answered with a one-armed shrug. Sure, she had been thinking of flying without the connection to any decorating before finding her friend, but maybe there was something more fun and fitting to get involved in. “Need another set of hands?” she asked as she set her stuff down on a free table. You know, to avoid any more mishaps by stepping in in the beginning to help out with the change in décor rather than having to assist after the fact. Besides Nadia was all for giving the common room a good spruce up, no matter how temporary it might be.
