Hogwarts RPG Name:
Archie O'Brien
Slytherin
Third Year
Default

A small smile pursed his lips as Professor Gert asked into whether or not he was doing alright. Perhaps Archie might have exaggerated the still extraneous walk up to the tower slightly too much. In the same vein though, at least his little joke on the matter didn't truly go too overboard. While he was all for the fun and games of hyperbolic actions such as that because of the way it would garner attention, there still was the knowledge of where not to take them. For example, the raven-haired boy could have gone even a step beyond just the somewhat faked breathlessness and 'passed out'; but he knew much better than that, for that would have definitively been too much. And it still wasn't to say, what was displayed was completely fake. For there still was a genuine sluggishness after all those steps given it being so close to have finished eating dinner too. To respond though, ensuring that all was well he'd say "Yea, I'll be fine, thank you. The stairs are always just a bit harsh after a long day."

Before class had fully started, and not too long after sitting down, Archer would hear someone else greet him. Followed by the sound of whoever it was taking a seat nearby. Turning to the direction of where it came from, he saw Ary. A fellow Slytherin from a year below his own. Amused to see that the trek up didn't keep the housemate away, Archie would wave, "Hello, hello Ary. Ready for what should be a fun Astronomy lesson I hope?" The inquiry was made because truth be told, the two hadn't talked too much, so there was uncertainty in whether or not the other liked the class they were currently in. And after saying so, now looking around a bit more as people started to enter the room, another friendly wave was given to a Hufflepuff student, Desiree, as she greeted everyone that was currently there.

Shortly after it looked like everyone was there, Archie would have his attention back to the front of the classroom as the Astronomy Professor began to start the class. It was made apparent that she took note of the curiosity which was displayed by the Slytherin along with some of the others as well when she made mention of it. He'd follow along as the Professor would then proceed to further still keep what class would be about shrouded in a slight bit of mystery. Taking specific note of some of the keywords that were said, such as the phrase 'even when we can't see them' followed by the clue that it wouldn't be the moon. That would have been the bold lad's first guess, but since that wasn't even an option he'd have to resort to his imagination. With the stars already now being mentioned, he wanted to give a different answer. Even though he knew it most likely wouldn't be the case, after raising his hand, Archie would respond "Is it the planets themselves, perhaps? Sometimes, we can see those without the use of a telescope, other times, not so much." With his closing half of the statement being made because of the telescope within the very room they were all in. Granted, that was naturally a thing one would expect to see when learning about this subject. However, never hurt to take such a guess as that.
