Aurora wasn’t THAT stupid in that she knew that removing a few buds or leaves wasn’t going to kill the plant, what she meant was whether THIS plant, the Lavender in which she had become somewhat attached to over the past five minutes it had been in her possession, was going to be okay after being likely decimated by her charms ability. “I’ll make sure I leave a few to regrow” she nodded gratefully at Professor DeVries. Did that mean that the plants could come back to their dorms with them?

Before the lesson moved on without her, the fourteen year old quickly (and as carefully as her skills allowed) removed the flowers using Diffindo and the wave movement and formed a small pile to her left. The next spell was one she wasn’t so familiar with and required that extra ounce of concentration. “TUR-gee-oh Ex-uh-RESK-oh” she spoke, overpronouncing each of the syllables in an attempt to get it right on the first try. Her wand pointed at the pile and waved back and forth a few times until the whole selection had dried out to the desired amount. She’s only just completed the first task when the Professor spoke up again.

Ordinarily Aurora would’ve uttered out a very polite thank you for someone doing something for her but in this instance, as she watched Mitsuki leave her desk and fetch her ingredients for her, the Ravenclaw was too stunned to speak. It felt like all the efforts (which let’s be honest wasn’t THAT hard for Aurora to make for she made an effort with practically everyone) had come to a conclusion and she had finally been accepted into Mitsuki’s small circle.

At least in her head it did, for all she knew it could’ve been the complete opposite. Either way the fourth year was absolutely going to push her luck. “Can we work together?” she asked, pulling her seat closer towards her housemate and moving the pestle and mortar in front of her to crush and grind the Lavender into a fine powder. She’d be quiet.. ish. And she wasn’t completely incompetent when it came to Herbology either so she wouldn’t be asking her questions every five seconds like she might’ve done in a subject she found more complex. Like Astronomy, she really didn’t get that one.

In flowed the ground flowers into the bottom of her mason jar which she kind of swirled around to make sure they were dispersed evenly. That and because it had formed this pretty purple colour that she rather enjoyed the look of. Next came the splashing of the ethanol as she poured it into the jar and a slight wrinkling of the nose from the dislike of the scent of it. There were so many types of wrapping to follow that the blonde had to organise her things into a neat row in the correct order or else she’d get all confuddled. “It’s like making a mason jar burrito” she giggled, thoughts now wandering to what she was going to enjoy for dinner.
