When Hope entered the Hall, she noticed a lot of people already sitting at the Slytherin table. Hmm...were they supposed to sit at their own tables, then? But Professor Carton had said any table, or so she thought she heard. She had a great desire to sit at another table than Ravenclaw, just because she could. Anna and Vera were already paired off at the Hufflepuff table (the House Hope had secretly thought she would be place in). Hope wasn't sure she had enough courage (or gall) to sit alone at the Gryffindor table. Then she saw Emma sitting apart and looking like she might need a partner, so Hope went to join her. And, hearing Professor Carton start the game, Hope thought that she knew the right answer, too!
