Her own confusion was one thing but Ary’s response was quite another. It should be well known to everyone by now that Bry didn’t do well when she upset him. Whether it be intentional or not (let it also be known that she never intentionally did anything to upset that boy! Not unless she was simply messing about obviously). If there was anything she liked more than being upset herself, it was him being upset. ”It’s okay.. You were littles then.. But you’re not little no more. Maybe I won’t be so heavy now…” She could hope, right? But.. what if she was?!
Huh?! What was he even talking about? Bry hadn’t said that. She wanted to practice with him. She did! They were partners in everything. At least in her head, they were. ”Why would I wants to do that?” There was the smallest tilt of her head as she looked at him again, her eyes showing even more confusion. What had she said that had given him the idea that she didn’t want to work together? Did he not want to work with her now because of how she reacted?! It hadn’t been her fault that she had been taken by surprise by his response.
With each repeat of the incantation, the more Bryony seemed to be butchering it. And she knew it now as she focused on Ary and heard that what he was saying was not even close to what she was. How come he was correcting her like he normally would? Did she really upset him that much without meaning to? ”Ary, will you help me? I didn’t mean to make you sad.. “ Bry lowered her wand and opened her arms in typical Bryony fashion because there had to be a hug or something first, right? Hugs and then the perfect duo could rock these charms together!
