~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. This was why Ary usually was happy that he didn’t speak much. When one kept their mouth shut, they were obviously not going to say stupid things. He could clearly see the confusion of Bry’s face; it was highlighted by her blinks and strong stare. He felt himself retreating inwardly already because he felt idiotic and ashamed. “Sorry,’’ he mumbled. It was quite fine if she didn’t want to work with him. And it was definitely quite fine that she didn’t know about his feelings that were split evenly between her and Drake. The realisation just cemented his resolve to never let Bry know about that. He wouldn’t be able to stand her hurt and fury. “It’s okay if you… just wanna practice by yourself.” Ary suspected if they hadn’t been in class, Bry would have had a tantrum. And even though he told her she could work by herself if she wanted to, he was quite tempted to correct her pronunciation of the word. He kept his mouth firmly shut though, determined not to aggravate her further.
Silently, he practiced the wand movement as Feirgrund had depicted on the board. It was traced out repeatedly until he got it right. It didn’t take him long to get it right so he just sat back in his seat, watching those around him. True, Ary could have worked on the Levitation Charm but his mood was still off somewhat. Besides, he had pretty much aced that Charm last term. |
