There was an extra little bounce in Desiree's step for two reasons. One, Halloween was coming, which meant two of her favorite things: costumes and candy. Two, she was on her way to her favorite lesson.
The first thing she noticed upon entering the charms classroom was the Halloween decorations. She couldn't help but smile as she imagined how decked out this room would've been when her dad taught the subject. Her smile remained firmly in place as she greeted Professor Feirgrund. ”Hello, Professor!” she said with a dainty hand wave. ”I like your decorations.”
Cue more smiles and waves for the other students. ”Hi, everybody!” she greeted, taking her seat. With her supplies neatly arranged on the desk in front of her, she eyed the box with a mildly intrigued expression. What was in there? She'd been at Hogwarts long enough to know not to open a random box, though she did try to move it to give herself a bit more space, only to find it stuck. Interesting! Maybe they were doing the Unsticking charm today?
