Her intention was to sneak in some Charms and Transfiguration practice too by using the different spells they'd been learning to apply to her decorating, but she also found she just kind of liked to do things the old fashioned way so she'd yet to start that practice.

With a box opened and sitting on the couch, she’d wrapped a strand of a skull garland loosely around her shoulders as she one of the bookcases in order to drape it over some of the books available. She was reaaaaally hoping Professor Feirgrund was not about to be doing any type of rounds, as she wasn't sure this would have been entirely smiled upon (the climbing, she figured he could appreciate the decor) and she still had yet to test the limits of how well received her early birthday present from Papa would be, a moving tattoo of a basilisk climbing around her calf which was currently left, the witch having gone for ankle socks today instead of her usual long ones to keep it hidden.

Reaaaaaching up high above where she was currently on the shelf, she draped it over a book before the whole garland started to slip down towards the ground. ”Oh shoot!”
Nadia had spent the morning doing some studying in the library, having been reminded at breakfast that they had a potions exam coming up. It might not be a particular strong suit of hers, but she wasn’t about to give it her best for her dad’s sake. Once she was satisfied she had a good grasp on what they might be tested on, the fourth year returned to the Gryffindor tower with the thought of changing to head out for some flying.

As she entered the common room through the portrait hole, the last thing she expected to see was her friend climbing the bookcases but before she could even say anything smart in greeting, the mishap happened. “Wingardium Leviosa,” she cast on the falling garland once her wand was out, almost without thinking, her first thought having been that Vera herself had falling and needed assistance. But the decorations had become her target, the object in question now floating at least near her fellow Gryffindor so she could grab it back to fix where it had slipped from.

“I wonder if a broom might be a better thing to be climbing on for that task.” Or any of the other girl's plans, the box on the couch more readily noticable.
