Nina was absolutely meticulous in everything she did. There was no other way. When you were as type-A as she was, high standards were the default. Everything she did, she did well and she did thoroughly. This, of course, extended to presents. And not that it was a competition (almost everything was), but her fiancé always had the most considerate presents of all.

Year after year, Nina aspired to be the better gifter and year after year, her presents paled in comparison. Naturally, Calyx never complained. He was always delighted by whatever Nina gave to him and he took ultimate joy in spoiling her in return.

But Nina could NOT be out-gifted this year. She couldn't. She was determined to win gift well.

Which is what led her to the last three months of sourcing various seed packets from all around the world for the best present she could possibly come up with: The Ultimate Plant Advent Calendar.

This year, Christmas was HERS for the taking.
