Having already bought everything she needed for her second year at Hogwarts, Sloane had come to Diagon Alley today for one reason and one reason only. To get a piercing. Granted, she needed consent from a parent or guardian but that wouldn’t stop her. She’d find a way, even if she had to somehow acquire an aging potion and then get one. She also wanted a tattoo but figured that Faith and Zoryn would actually kill her if she came back with one. Well, Zoryn would be impressed but Faith would kill her or be disappointed which was worse. Either way, that was off the table for now.
Feigning interest in the t-shirts and hats, Sloane’s eyes quickly roamed around the shop to see if she knew anyone in there because if she did, then there was zero chance of her plan coming off. She was after all, just twelve years old and despite looking older than her age, there was little chance they wouldn’t check her age or tell her she needs a guardian. Then again, if she just entered with enough confidence, maybe she could simply blag her way into getting her nose pierced.
Wearing a pair of ripped black jeans and a t-shirt from some punk wrock band she’d never heard of, Sloane moved off to the side of the entrance and pulled out a small pouch of coins. After all, getting turned away because she didn't have enough money was far more embarrassing than getting turned away because you were too young. |
