As Etta’s second year at Hogwarts was just around the corner, the youngling wandered in Diagon Alley (her older sister not far) independently. The youngling made a stop at Madam Primpernelle’s to browse the shop, looking for a specific potion she read about. You see, Etta’s vision wasn’t the greatest and didn’t like wearing her glasses. They just made her face feel bulky. Squinting her eyes she read the label on the item, “Perfect Vision Potion. Repair your eyesight.” Etta beamed with glee when she found what she was looking for. ”Bingo!” She said to herself.
Hmm, should she also consider looking into the heat protectant? After all she had been using a flat iron to straighten her hair lately.
Despite having her sister nearby, the youngling couldn't to herself the social anxiety that was kicking in. The youngling wanted her independence, but she still feared people's cruelty. Rome was not built in a day and everyday Etta made progress.
Taking a few deep breaths, she mentally coached herself to remain calm and assure herself that she was okay. |
