Bathes in Maple Syrup | Dancing Lobster | Mrs. Charlie Weasley | Seneca's Beard | That's So Fetch A grin grew on his face when her hand just so happened to join his under the table. The blond was quite pleased with linking his fingers with hers, and her response was also well-received. He did not feel the need to ask what they would be getting up to -- they'd figure it out along the way like they usually did. "Well, thankfully we won't have to study as much next year." At least he wouldn't. No matter what his results said, he knew that a handful of those subjects he had been taking over the years were going to be dropped. His time needed to be freed up so he could focus on other priorities.
Like Vera, his gaze did flutter up to the staff table; however, the glance was quite brief. He did feel his mother's eyes on him yet, and he truthfully didn't want to make contact with their Head of House considering their House Cup standing this term. So he shifted his head to the slide slightly to look at the other tables momentarily. He avoided eye contact with them (especially Bryony because she was sure to have quite a reaction to his current seating arrangement), and glanced over at the Ravenclaw table to give Vasco a sup nod.
His attention returned to Vera without any hesitation. "Avoiding any and all books. Other than that, I'll be busying myself with music, working on my tan, and flipping signs in Diagon Alley. You know, the usual," he replied to her before adding, "Might flirt with this one girl I've seen searching in the rubbish bins." Wink.
