For obvious reasons, his movie experience at this point was much different from Vera's. He did notice her laughs, and part of him regretted not doing the same since, had he been focused solely on what was happening on the screen, he would have been cracking up just as much. There would have even been comments about Hoggle and the peach and the betrayal that was inevitably going to happen.

The group was making their way through the forest now and they were suddenly hungry, which was something he could relate to normally. But the thoughts on his mind had taken precedence. Now, as Sarah had bit into the peach and Hoggle had run off, he was rapidly trying to string together words that would make sense.

Not that there was much time to do such a thing, especially since he had Vera's attention and her head had moved ever so slightly his way. Had he been looking at the screen, he would have registered Sarah wandering a few feet toward a tree, the Goblin King blowing a few crystal ball bubble things into the air, and the scene gradually transitioning to some random fancy ballroom. Instead, his eyes were on his movie-viewing companion.

"Have you -- Do you --" Gathering his words continued to be a struggle for him as light music started to play and lyrics from a male voice were sung. "I --" It was at that moment the words 'It's much easier to not overthink when it comes to me' repeated in his mind. Taking a breath, he leaned his face closer and pressed his lips against hers.
