Hopefully there weren't many questions about the Chipping Clodbury Riot on the History of Magic OWL exam this year.
Blue eyes glanced over to Betony when her cheeks started to blush. Any other person probably would have noticed and made a comment, but not this Gryffindor. Had she been someone else, maybe things would have been different.
"Oh." At this point he wasn't sure if he should apologize or not, considering she had just got to the nook. And the fact that this part of the common room wasn't exactly popular and had been empty when he had arrived there left him to believe he hadn't disturbed anyone else. Hmm. "Well ... feel free to grab a seat. Maybe someone around will keep me from falling asleep again," he laughed. Betony couldn't help but watch the way Logan tried to dry the page, and she winced a little at the resultant rip. It wasn't that she thought all books were sacred, or that she couldn't stand the idea of them being a little worn - she was a self confessed dog-earer herself. But it was just that now it was unreadable, and what if someone else needed that bit of information? Of course most people had their own books, but some of hers were hand-me-downs, and she figured that eventually she'd hand hers down, too. Or donate them.
But anyway. Logans book wasn't her problem, and she dragged her gaze back to the boys face instead of his book. She offered a small smile at his laugh. "Maybe. If not, I'm sure I can nudge you again," she offered. Though, she thought as she pulled a chair out, if he did fall asleep again the chance was she'd just get up and try to find somewhere else to do her homework. And let him sleep.
