While there was a bit of humor to be found with Aria agreeing to more popcorn being made, Darius wasn't anywhere close to laughing during this matter. Since it had became serious with hearing her fully express what had been going down from her perspective. "I.. you could never be replaced, Aria," Darius said. He wondered if perhaps when he asked her to stay she might've also assumed he would take advantage of her kindness in helping and staying. But her staying was already agreed prior to his babies coming into the picture.
A frown appeared as Darius felt genuinely sad at the thought of her running off. Something that all three happened to share in common, getting away when they don't belong or feel wanted. "I don't want you to leave Aria. I just want you to tell me each time you feel neglected... I know that's odd of me to ask when I've done the leaving before," So he knew all too well where she was coming with that. "Obviously, I can't drop everything at any exact moment but I would try to make more time for you even more so." Holding a hand out with the pinky extended, "I promise as long as you promise to hold me accountable and help me with the time," As much as he could for now. "Does that sound okay?"
