Also he still didn’t trust that this girl hadn’t just outwardly stolen the book and Ezra was just too much of a wimp to admit that a girl had outsmarted him.

The movement from within the house had seemingly garnered both their attention to the point that the conversation was remaining civil. It wasn’t like Hogwarts was void of spirits to communicate with but there was something about the Shrieking Shack and it’s mysterious mess that intrigued him more. “Why don’t you?” he asked, his left brow slightly raised as if he was daring her to climb over the perimeter and enter the premises.

Eli meanwhile was not stupid enough (in his opinion) to break the rules and was satisfied by the required distance being kept.

A smirk formed on Etta’s lips, tempted to be reckless (for once) and go over the fence but shook her head.”Tempting, but I don’t want to get in trouble.” Admire from afar. Etta wasn’t one to break the rules even if it would put her in a position of ridicule or shame by other people. It wouldn’t be anything new to her. But staying out of trouble felt like the right thing to do and the safest path.

As Etta quietly observed the movement from a distance her mind wondered what the story behind the shack was. Who lived in it? Was the garden loved and what kind of flowers bloomed. It was indeed a mystery. A sad and beautiful mystery in the innocence of her mind. Etta, curious per usual, wanted to ask Elias what he thought the backstory to the shack was. Or if he actually knew what happened, considering he was more familiar with the magical realm than she was. However, she didn’t want to disturb him so she kept her thoughts to herself. She didn’t feel a threatening vibe from the boy and wondered if Elias was friendly deep down. A mystery. Or perhaps her intuition was failing her and she should keep her distance.
