But this? It was all too much for her.

Aria was seeing the beautiful, colourful coral but at the same time she was not. Her thoughts were too cloudy to remain focused on the things. “Finally cottoned on, have you?” she asked, her voice thick with ice. Or maybe he hadn’t so much as she had thought and hoped. “Seriously? You think that’s what I’m annoyed about? It’s like you don’t even know me! That’s all petty stuff!” Aria stopped in her tracks, folded her arms and finally fixed her brother with a wilting glare.

Too bad Caes wasn’t here. He too would be getting an earful. Dar would just have to deal with her wrath alone for now.

Darius knew from her next choice of words that Aria was trying to hurt him. But what had he done for her to dish such words back? Nothing that he was aware of. If anything, he thought things would fine. Out of the little petty stuff. Last time he figured her to be this upset was when she vented to him over Caes having a girlfriend years ago to where she felt... Ah.... Then it clicked. So she felt abandoned? "Well, it's hard to tell without being a Legilimens," He couldn't read minds and was too busy to try. "It's almost like you don't remember how I see things," He didn't intend to swing it back like that. Maybe it came to him being a Beater and that one incident or premonition that Aria claimed that he once made months before, "Never mind. I apologizing for saying it back like that." He couldn't be sorry for making someone upset over doing nothing. Could he?

Darius tried to keep a track of how things were going in the pause that was going on between them. His voice came off calmer in his next set of words,"I was expecting this to be a fun trip with you, since we haven't had the time to be by ourselves since the babies arrived us moving in," Maybe she would remember how long it usually takes him to open up. "But between work and the boys... I'm sorry for our outing taking this long to actually happen." Though if anything, he was feeling guilty for not having much time with Caes alone since then as well. He blinked before raising his eyebrows up, "Now Aria, do I have to remind you not to save face for so long? It's not fun being unaware of things when you bottle things up. I'm trying to not clueless, maybe you could gave more obvious warnings?" Sure, he was guilty. But he was not the only one guilty here, even if only one of them was willing to admit it.
