Feeling something nudge his shoulder, Logan jolted awake. A very confused, or perhaps disappointed, expression grew on his face. He was still sitting at the table, the history textbook was wide open, and ... why was there a puddle on the page? He blinked and looked around, his eyes quickly landing on Betony. It then all clicked in his mind: he feel asleep and had been dreaming.
"How long was I out for?" he asked as he wiped the sleep from his eyes and then attempted to pat the wet textbook page dry. A part of Betony (probably the same part that nagged her when she completed homework and told her it wasn't up to par) worried that her nudge hadn't been enough, and that Logan would go on sleeping despite her attempts to wake him. This same part wondered if that were the case, should she try again or just find somewhere else to study? The latter was tempting, given she didn't really want to encroach on his personal space again, or look stupid (feel stupid) if it failed a second time.
She glanced over her shoulder, for a moment convinced that someone was watching her feeble attempts to wake the boy and laughing. Of course no one was, but she still felt a weird, lingering insecurity.
Which was only tempered slightly when she turned back and he was properly awake. As for his question - Betony shrugged, a slightly blush decorating her freckled cheeks. "I... I don't really know," she answered apologetically, making no move to sit down just yet. "I've only just come over, so... But I don't think it was that long?"
Her face told him that she had no clue, though.
