The second item was, much to the lucky lion's benefit, a thick school scarf in silver and green, of course. Clucking softly as though she were a mum, Zara draped the scarf around the boy's neck and tucked him in. "Next time you should really wear a sweatshirt," she advised unnecessarily. "Or cast a charm or something."
She held her hand out to take the sketchbook back. "No, I was looking for inspiration for my next landscape or," she tilted her head and looked him up and down slowly, "...portrait." Yes, he would do. She liked the challenge of drawing plucked chicken skin on a human form. She'd never done goosebumps before. Standing there, dripping and freezing, Hooper couldn’t help but wish this conversation was taking place next to a warm fire. A snack or two wouldn’t go amiss either. As it was however, they were outside, the wind was whipping at their faces and he was shivering. Taking the sketchbook, Hooper eyed it in confusion as it was practically thrust into his hands. He was even more confused when a scarf was being thrown over his head and he was being tucked in, like a child at the end of the day! He supposed he did deserve this as he had made the mistake of venturing out in nothing but his joggers and a t-shirt. “Uhh thank you? You really didn’t have to though. I was just…” but just as he was about to say that he was going to be fine, the warm scarf provided him with just a little more warmth that he had.
Handing the sketchbook back, he nodded a little, showing that he both understood and that he still actually had some wits about him despite the cold. “Portrait?....you want to draw…me?” The way she eyed him…he felt like some kind of test subject. He supposed he did owe her for the scarf but still...being sketched wasn’t exactly something that he felt comfortable with. Being the centre of someone’s attention. Always looking at you. Looking for small pieces of detail. Surprisingly, he was actually about to agree to this before eventually, he decided that finding out a little more information was needed because he was smort. “So you’re in Slytherin but who are you? Sorry, I’m good with faces but I don’t know you." "I’m Hooper,” he added at the end after an afterthought. |
