Hogwarts RPG Name: Sloane Aubrey Knott Slytherin Fourth Year | Quote:

"I think ... maybe because the match starts on the ground when all the players come out on the pitch. And like sports are meant to be watched, so there's something about an aesthetically pleasing playing field to draw the crowds." She shrugged.
Wait what. It was cool? They were cool? She shook her head. "It doesn't make a difference, just ... that you seemed surprise about gnomes and de-gnoming. Although it is kind of funny when you think about it..." she mused. But figured that the girl probably wouldn't understand so she ought to explain. "Just cause like, you're a slytherin and notoriously the slytherin founder frowned upon muggle-borns. And I'm pureblood and in hufflepuff who's founder basically accepted everyone." Also funny cause once upon a time her father disliked hufflepuffs and somehow he ended up with two children in the house. "Nice to meet ya, ... Sloane." She accepted the sandwich. "So how'd you know quidditch was played in the air. Did you read about it?" Or had she inadvertently blabbered on about it. Honestly sometimes she rambled and forgot what she even was saying Sloane nodded and considered this for a moment. She wasn’t one to blindly argue her point if she was wrong. She was far more likely to change tack and argue another point that was right. “So they throw these little gnomes out of their homes all because they want to walk out on the pitch? That seems a bit mean, don’t you think? I don’t see why they can’t start it in the air,” she says as though she’s seen a game of Quidditch in her life. In truth, the closest she’d came to seeing a game was watching a few people fly around the pitch. “Maybe it would make the grass look nicer but…I dunno…” She couldn’t really elaborate on this or find the right words to explain how she felt about it. She kind of liked gardens that were a little bit rougher, with grass and weeds here and there and little creatures and critters roaming around. “Well in that case, I am a muggleborn. I’ve never actually seen a game before,” she finally admitted. Sloane went a little quiet as she considered the fact that most Slytherin’s weren’t typically muggleborn and just shrugged a little, unsure what to say to that. She didn’t really feel a particular way about it, although that was mostly because hadn’t come to Hogwarts with a house, she wanted to be in. She honestly still didn’t know much about the other houses at all. She knew her friends and some of her house mates and they were all okay. “I guess sometimes, it doesn’t matter what you are. You just get put places and do things and break the mould or help set it more.”
Grabbing another sandwich and taking a bite, she didn’t answer straight away, she was after all hungry and actually wanted to eat some of the food she’d brought for herself. After a few seconds and a few more bites, she did eventually answer. “Like I said, I’ve never seen a game. I have seen a few people fly here though so I just kind of assumed that it was played up in the air, y’know? Kind of makes sense. And also, a few people have talked about it around me so…” and whilst she’d done her best to avoid the conversations, she’d managed to catch some of it. |
