Not that he could say anything considering he was (and still often WAS) one of those excitable children. “Still it’s nice to be able to walk down Diagon without tripping over a small child.” No but seriously, it HAD happened.
His assumption over her working at one of the shops was clearly correct. “Which shop do you work at?” he asked with genuine interest. Bowie wasn’t the best as reading other people so wouldn’t even want to hazard a guess, he was the sort of person who just wanted to get along with everyone and therefore judging others based on their appearance was something he never wished to do. “Likewise.” He took a quick sip of his coffee before setting it back down on the table with a little too much vigour and spilling a bit over the side. “I’m doing some work at a recording studio just around the corner and this was the best coffee shop I could think of ” he answered, subtly wiping up the mess with the sleeve of his colourful jumper. Nettie chuckled and shook her head. "Oh, absolutely not. I don't think I was ever that enthusiastic about going back to school," she said. Those who knew the blonde well would probably agree to disagree - but as far as SHE remembered it, she was a perfectly well behaved child. "It is nice to be back in the company of adults," she added in agreement. "Flourish and Blotts," she answered, taking a sip of her coffee. "I'm a book binder," she elaborated, which hadn't necessarily been the career she pictured for herself, but she enjoyed it nonetheless. She actually liked it far more than she had anticipated, and here she was, three years later, still working with her beloved books.
She bit her lip and tried not to laugh at the mess he made, but then he tried to wipe it up with his jumper - and she was not about to let him mess up his sweater like that! "Here," she said quickly, handing him a napkin. She supposed she could have cleaned it up with her wand as well but...she had napkins more readily available. "What are you doing at the studio? Are you a musician?" she asked curiously. He certainly had the hair for it.
