Etta’s first night at Hogwarts was dreadful! It definitely did not start well for the youngling. She embarrassed herself after having a panic attack right before she even made it to the table, surprisingly a housemate was kind enough to help her and introduce her to the fellow Slythies nearby.

Etta struggled with social situations and feared unknown faces. So much so, she had been eating meals by herself in isolated places. There were only a few areas in the castle she felt safe so far. The girl’s dormitory being the main, she had kind housemates so far. But living in her shell of comfort was very lonely. So Henriette picked today to be the day she would enter the hall and sit to have a meal even with housemates nearby.

Okay. Okay. Okay.

Etta, wringing her hands, took a DEEP breath and shivered as she stood at the entrance and surveyed the setting. One slow step after another the young girl approached the table. Her face paled and her sweat turned cold, pausing as she took another deep breath and marched.

Good. Good. Good.

Etta quickly slid onto the seat and felt her chest tighten! Closing her eyes she took several more deep breaths and with shaking hands, she reached for eating utensils. The hardest part, making it inside the hall and sitting down, was done. Now, to fill her plate with delectables. Her stomach was rumbling! But as she filled her plate it didn’t escape her notice that a professor was here! And she was mingling with housemates nearby.

Introduce yourself!

She was mentally pushing herself.

She really wanted to introduce herself to Professor Roulan Liu, but her jaw clenched shut from the sudden anxiety.

Oh no….
