 Constant Vigilance! O_O AWAKE!
Sophia smiled brightly at the non-first year (Rowan) who'd just been sorted into Slytherin. She looked to be about her same age, maybe a few months off. "Please, sit!" she said, blithely ignorant that the other girl had heard her whispering to Giselle. "I'm Sophia," she said, even though Regulus had sort of already introduced all the older students to the new students already.
The other new students each got a smile and a wave as they got settled.
As she started filling her plate, she noticed another of the first years (Sloane) looking a little...lost? Uncomfortable, at least. She tried offering the younger student an encouraging smile. She would have said something, but the girl looked like she just wanted to eat her dinner in silence and go to bed. Which was not something Sophia had ever cared for, but over the last few years she'd noticed the sorting ordeal was more exhausting for some than others. She wasn't going to force the girl to talk. |
