~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Ary didn’t think it was possible to be this level of happiness but it was truly unlike anything he had experienced before. He couldn’t stop smiling. His closest friends were there with him, Aunty Hady was his Head of House… all was right in the world.
But sadly, not for some of those in his year. Ary non-judgmentally fixed Henrietta with a gaze that wasn’t too obvious. He wasn’t one for many words but he wanted to let her know that everything was going to be okay. He would have given her a reassuring pat on the shoulder had he been closer. Yet Ary didn’t need to worry about that. The nice older boy {Regulus} who had given him a smile and a nod seemed to be taking her under his wing. When the girl sat, Ary sent her a small smile; he certainly did not think she had anything to be embarrassed about.
The Sorting continued, the list moving slowly along the rest of the alphabet. Ary marvelled that there were so many in his year, and more than a few of them had gotten Sorted into Slytherin. As another from the ‘S’ batch {Natasha} joined the Table, Ary returned her smile {there seemed to be a lot of those going around today}. Oh yes, he did think he was off to a great start in terms of expanding his friends circle.
Also, not to worry, Bry, He wasn’t going to leave you behind. |
