I'm just kind of nervous. To think, we'll know in just a few hours what house we're in!" He was really really hopeful they'd be dorm mates.
If Ary knew how worried Drake was about not being placed with him or his sister, he would have reassured his friend that the Hat did take the Sortee’s preference into consideration; that this was not just a rumour. Ary made a face at the mention of all the other students lurking in the corridor. “I think it will after everyone’s worn out from the long journey. Good thing I founds this compartment early then. My sisters are off with their friends but only after I kept telling thems I’ll be fine on my own and that I was looking for you and Gilly.” Without a doubt, however, the twins at one point track him down to check in on him.
“I thinks she will.’’ Ary thoughtfully leaned his temple against the back of his seat, his gaze still fixed on Drake. "The Express comes to a stop ats the Hogsmeade Train Station. I suppose she’ll meet us there, then we all go over with the boats.” Yes, that made sense. “Where’s Gilly?” Had Drake managed to lose his sister somehow? “It’s okay to be nervous. You can stand next to me in the line while we wait to be Sorted if it’ll help.” Ary knew he wouldn’t stick around long since his surname started with ‘A’ but he could still be there for Drake for a bit. The only other time he felt such a high level of concern for anyone is Bry and her Ninja Warrior training stuff. “I can hardly wait, honestly. I really don’t mind which House I get into, but I hope I’m in the same one with at least you, Bry or Gilly.” |
