What Drake had not been expecting was the overall commotion that seemed to abound on the platform to board the train. He'd been able to give his Mum an extra long squeeze goodbye, and a kiss on the cheek while he choked back his tears. And then before he could wait for Gilly to board the train with, he was being swept away in the throng of students clamoring up the stairs. He'd debated finding a spot to just... stop so he could snag her when she made her way on as well, but the masses made him anxious and he hated the idea of being in the way so... he just shakily continued with everyone else, peeking here and there for any type of a familiar face or an empty compartment he could snag on his own.

He'd made it all the way to the back and was feeling even more frantic, before he spotted Aryan and with immense relief was able to dart his way into the compartment and plop down beside his friend. "I am SO glad to have found you! Where's Bryony?" He was already accustomed to seeing the blonde wherever he saw Ary, though he still couldn't tell if she actually liked Drake and his presence or not.
