Vera looked at sideways at Maria with concern, digging into her pocket where she knew her nose clip sat from her earlier shift. She'd cleaned it earlier with an alcohol wipe at the shop, so she offered it now towards her friend. "Do you want to try this? It's not particularly fashionable but it might help with the strong smells." Or if it was really going to bother the Hufflepuff, they could go to Malkins or something and Vera could come back another time on her own.

Regardless, they did continue further into the store and it seemed like maybe it was a little better for her friend the further away they got. That was good at the very least! At the vote of confidence, Ve gave an exaggerated fair toss with her hand and grinned. "I mean, I'm sure either of us could pull off whatever we wanted but I should at least go for my own house pride or something neutral." Neutral meaning a color not associated to any of the houses that was, such as the suggested pink. Picking up the aforementioned bottle she looked over the back of it, reading the ingredients and how long it was supposed to last to see if she DID want to try something fun. "Do you think people still do that trend of just like... a couple streaks of color in their hair? I don't think I'd want a full head of something... but like a dip dye might be fun!" But it would also have to be something that looked decent with red considering she didn't want to clash with her own robes. "How's your summer going already, by the way?
