This summer was a time for doing things that intimidated her, and getting over herself, and trying to be more confident. And of course, spending time with Violeta was perfect for that, because her best friend was the epitome of confident, and actually seemed to make Betony believe in herself a little more. She invariably had fun when they were together, and it made the Alley a lot less daunting, knowing she was meeting her there.

Which is why she slipped fairly easily through the crowd, and only had to wait, like, two minutes outside of the shop to ensure her heartrate had calmed down enough. Betony didn't expect Vio to be there already, and so when she pushed the door open she was surprised, and relieved.

"Violeta, hey," the red head grinned wide, one reserved for about two people in her life. "I hope you've not been waiting long." If Betony had had a watch, she would have been checking it, but alas, now she was just worried that she was late.
