Nevertheless, the blond was going to keep up with maneuvering around this whole trap situation the best he could.
A sigh sounded as he rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand. "It was worth a try," Logan muttered quietly, definitely loud enough for Vesper to hear even though he was mainly speaking to himself. No other words were said as they continued to walk in wherever direction they were heading. At this point was peering into shop windows, though none of the merchandise within was registering in his mind as he was rapidly sifting through what to say as if he were strategizing for a game of wizard's chess.
"Hypothetically," he started, pausing at that particular word for emphasis before he continued, "if I were interested in your sister in that way, would it be worth acting on because those feelings would be reciprocated?" If Logan thought he was going to get out of this that easily, the poor older Gryffindor boy was so very sadly mistaken. He could try all he wanted but in the end, she was going to get her way. One way or anything, she would get him to tell her the truth. Even if she had to corner him at every single chance that she got.
Vesper didn't comment on his muttered words, but she did smile at him. Why he continued to try to avoid the question, was beyond her comprehension. Wouldn't it be easier to come clean? She thought so. Knowing the truth could be very beneficial to both of them. Vera might not want to kick her butt when she found out what she was doing.. and he could talk to Vera about whatever it was they needed to discuss. It would be a win, win situation.
Only, Logan was being troublesome. The youngest Thanatos let out a huffed breath, still staring up at him with light brown eyes. "Hypothetically speaking, those feelings might be reciprocated." There was a small pause and the most sweetest smile. "But I'm not dumb, Logan. I know what you're trying to do and.. honestly, I don't even mind because you're avoidance of the question and trying to trick me into telling you something... only tells me that you DO like her in that way." This knowledge which she was going to believe was true, whether or not it was now had her bouncing on her toes. "You do know though, that if you did tell me a simple yes or no on this.. that I would leave you alone, right?" Given she believed him not to be lying to her that is. "I'd even be able to help you, if you wanted." She was as much on his side as she was her sisters. Vera being happy was her top priority. So stop being so stubborn Logan Paton and let her help the two of you!
