~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Suresh was just as excited, just as thrilled about the little girl growing inside of Advika. He was even more so at the thought of meeting her one day. Oh, he could hardly wait to cradle her in his arms! She would be perfect; with her being a combination of his and Advika’s genetics, how could she not be? The only thing about this new journey the would-be parents were experiencing that Suresh hated was the glaring discomfort Advika experienced. He secretly felt rather guilty about not being able to do more to help.
But as far as regrets went in marrying her? There was none. Zero regrets. Absolutely none.
Suresh had left Advika to have some rest, using the time to catch up with the latest cricket match: India versus Australia. The match was still early with India having bowled only five of the twenty overs so far. Sur’s feet were propped up, his eyes fixed in a hawk-like on the screen, a huge bottle of water in hand and a bowl of snacks on the couch beside him. It was at the precise moment that the first wicket fell for Australia that he heard slamming doors. Instead of quietly celebrating the small victory for his team, he got to his feet. Sur put down the water and beelined for the bathroom. “Advi? You okay in there?” Was she throwing up? Did she need him to be there for her?
