Tapio saw a few more people coming to join the group. "Ah, Miss Marchand, thank you for joining us. You're just in time." He noticed the girl was wearing yet another fashionable (he assumed) outfit and was once again impressed how she could manage to combine style with practicality. "Nice outfit."
Turning, Tapio was glad to see yet another fellow teacher joining them--the more the better on an expedition like this. "Good evening, Norman, yes, please join us." Tapio leaned in toward the other man and added in a lower voice, "Yes, if you can help us keep an eye on the students to make sure no one gets lost, or wanders off on a private moonlight stroll, or tries to sneak into the Forbidden Forest, that'd be great."
Standing back and raising his voice again, the large Herbology professor continued. "Well, I think we're ready to get started now. Tonight is meant to be fun--walking outside in under the moon is always a pleasure. It's also an opportunity to observe plants and animals that only bloom or come out at night. But we also have a practical objective--we're going to try to find some Fluxweed and harvest it for our Potions Professor." He smiled over at Javier. "I believe Professor Hernandez has covered this plant earlier in the year, and Professor Gert covered moon phases in one of her classes. Well now we're going to see the fluxweed plant in the wild, so to speak, and since it's the full moon tonight, that's the right time to harvest it for...what potion?" Tapio looked around, feeling pretty sure that a few of them would know this. "And while we discuss this, let's start walking! Any of you who want to help move a hamper, go right ahead, and I'll take care of the rest." Tapio raised his wand and cast Locomotor on any remaining baskets and began walking off down a grassy, sloping path leading off toward some trees and shrubbery. He walked at an easy pace (for him), so hopefully everyone could keep up. |
