A matching purple bag, shoes, and a gold flower pin completed the outfit. She glanced around the room, wondering which one to visit first. As she did so, she saw a familiar person waving at her. Oh, hi, Dad! She waved back, beaming. The thought crossed her mind to visit the Ministry booth to say a proper hello, but she’d do that later. For now she beelined for the booth of her most likely profession, the Healer one.
She approached the booth, her hands held gracefully behind her back to hide any trembling that might give away her nerves. Her bright blue eyes scanned the tables. Oh, she didn’t know there was going to be a quiz! She hoped she’d do alright on it! And one of the gentlemen (Ian) had colored paper and crayons. Fun! Were they meant to use those? She had soooo many questions, but she’d keep things simple to start. “Hello,” she greeted the healers with a polite smile. “Thank you for coming to our school! I’m Desiree. I’m leaning toward the healer profession, but I haven’t decided which area of healing to specialize in. My question for all of you is, how did you choose your specialty?” With Ian and Ruby speaking with the first young man and his nametag properly affixed in accepting the role at the booth, Gideon smiled as a young girl joined her fellow student at their table. “Hello,” he greeted, a touch of the Scottish brogue that was stronger in his mum still very much present. “Yer welcome.” Even if he had been more than a bit nervous at the prospect. The healer supposed he wasn’t the only one and it all had to do with how each had experienced their own schooling. “Weel, for me, it had to do with where I started,” the former Gryffindor began, trying to think of how to explain it. “Since I had started out wi’ an affinity with potions and took a duel degree wi’ potions an astronomy before receiving my potions mastery thinking to go into that field…when I wound up going for my healer training, it only seemed fitting tae specializing in potions and plant poisonings as well as the alchemy used tae create cures.”
