And, quite frankly, she wasn't really sure how to behave. Things hadn't exactly gone well the last time they'd seen each other, and Florrie was kind of annoyed that Cooper hadn't bothered to even try and reach out to her over the past few... years? Had it really been that long? Not that she'd bothered to reach out, either - but the dynamic of their relationship had drastically changed, and she had truly felt that if he wanted her in his life, he would have been the one to let her know.
Of course, there was the whole worry of being judged that she was pretending didn't exist. She was also pretending that she didn't miss him.
When he side, she raised an eyebrow and pushed her sunglasses to the top of her head, where they nestled amongst her perfectly blown out blonde locks. "Long day?" she called over to him, figuring that even if he didn't look up and see her, surely the Canadian accent (though slightly muted after the last eight years in the UK) would give her away. He would be...quite devastated to know, not to mention confirm an insecurity he had been fighting off for some time, that she did not count him never missing a birthday of hers via Owl Post. Well, save for her last birthday. He had finally given in to the embarrassment he felt over just the potential that it had all been one sided. He knew this was not true, but there was a layer of embarrassment laced with disappointment. To him, the quaffle was exclusively on her side of the pitch to do with what she wanted...and Cooper had made a promise to himself after spending an entire evening in a muggle police station that he would no longer chase after that which never wanted to be caught.
So to speak. It was a metaphor in process.
Unaware that this was a spiral he could potentially slip down, Cooper stretched his arms up high once again and released a soft groan as he felt a couple of much needed pops along his back. "...I could pick up some flowers before I..." he contemplated to himself - aloud, because there was far too much occupying his mind these days to stick to mental notes. Speaking things out loud tended to solidify them. Finishing the complete thought, that is, so there was no telling if he would recall the desire to pick up a bouquet of flowers before swinging by WADA or not...especially once he heard some one call over to him. Or ... well ... he assumed him since the area was quite empty currently. A voice familiar like a full moon on cloudless night and yet foreign like snow falling on a hot summer's day.
Slowly he straightened, his head rolling forwards until he was looking straight ahead to the torso, the face, of the person attached to the stylish shoes and long legs.
"...oh...wow..."
