A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Daniel's pacing came to a halt, his mind becoming clearer as time passed. The seventh year slumped his shoulders as he realized what he had done. If there was one thing he had learned from this duel, it was that they weren't always about shooting spells left and right; they could also be a mental battle. "I failed, didn't I?" he asked slowly, looking at his wand in their hands.
He was disappointed in himself; as someone who needed to do everything perfectly, this loss hit him hard, despite the fact that he had already told himself that he would lose.
While his mind screamed at himself for being a disappointment, he pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to maintain his composure and not let his emotions get the best of him. "Could I please have my wand back, Professor?" he asked.
