There was a momentary eyebrow raise at the sight of caramel in his sisters hand but he didn't question it. He for one didn't mind caramel depending on how much there was and what it was paired with. Twin made excellent points. Vera WAS going to just 'Vera'. And if she wasn't ready to go through the seven stages of acceptance on something she'd realized about herself, someone else pointing it out was just going to delay even the attempt of doing so by at least a full calendar year. Those were the rules. And while she was coming to accept her feelings about her mom, any other feelings were still in the stage of bargaining to get rid of them.

"What are the ideas though?" She was curious and wanted to offer input. And also have other things to think about. "I was originally thinking just follow a simple lemon square recipe but make the base chocolate. But that seems a boring way to go about it." too safe. Where was the adventure in that idea? "Even comets come around once every 100 years." or... Something like that. "oooh fudge sounds yummy! Can we make a lemon fudge?"
