There were no compliant's from him about going to the candy shop. It was one of the few shops that he would very willing step foot into without any fuss whatsoever and be able to walk around for however long was needed. Sugar was his thing, particularly chocolate, everyone knew this. This wasn't about him though, not today. Something wasn't right with Vera, that much he knew. Stepping into the shop behind his sister, Vas immediately glanced around. One arm slinging around Vera's shoulders which was something he didn't always do but it was an occasional thing when she wasn't bugging him or he knew just how down she was really feeling. With his free hand he made sure to grab them a basket for whatever sweets he knew they would be grabbing today so they wouldn't have to carry everything around. "Whatever you find, I'll make sure that we can turn it into something," his words held the tone of promise he only used when he knew she needed him to not let her down. "I bet Scoot has something she can toss in too and she would want to help." He knew that if they didn't include her in this all heck would break loose if the youngest Thanatos found out.
She knew he knew she wasn't feeling herself lately. And considering how little she wanted to talk to anyone about it, most of all him, she appreciated the fact he'd remained silent and not tried to pry anything from her. Scoot had been the same, coming up into her dorm and having sleep overs with her now and then as well. It made her weirdly emotional when she thought about how lucky she was to have them both, so she tried to not dwell on that too much either but she was feeling a lot of that gratitude in the current moment, especially when he slung his arm around her should in a comforting gesture. She gave him a small squeeze and a smile, before looking around.
It was moments like these too that he really reminded her that while they were twins, he was also still a big brother. Both for her and Scoot, even if it was only by a few merely minutes between her and him. Vas clearly took his role very seriously though and while she often times would have rolled her eyes at him for it, right now she just let it be comforting. Scrounging up some of usual Vera, she shot him a cheeky smile at his promise.
"That makes me want to try to find the hardest thing to melt and then experiment on it." Which also just sounded like fun. Was there an indestructible gummy or something that sweet spots had?
"We should do lemon drops though and then use some of our basic chocolates and see if we can make a weird lemon square but like... with a chocolate base instead of that graham cracker-y tasting one." And as for Scoot? Of course she'd be included too! Time with all three Thanatos children was equally as important as just them pairing off.
"We should also just by her a snack too." Kind of as like a sorry that hadn't brought her with them for this trip.
