Anashti l Brat Pack l Sally & Dr. Finklestein Playing in the dirt as a kid? Wasn't it nice when something that seemed as simple of an enjoyment as a child like that could lead to an easier time figuring out what someone wanted to do with their lives? Sure there was usually a lot more hints and everything than that but still... it sounded nice. "Fair enough. What do you like to do? Or are you still figuring that out too?" Because no judgement for him. There was a very good reason he'd added 'too' to his statement.
At the question of his gap year, a small smile made it's way onto Evan's face as he nodded his head. "Yeah. My cousin has a sailboat that he used to live on so he let me borrow it for a year." Though he was certain Aziel would have also been fine with him using it for longer had he asked. And don't think he hadn't considered asking if he could live on it as opposed to in his old room with his parents. "It was fun. I'm not sure if you know her, but Sera Dashwood from Gryffindor went with me. It was a very relaxed, peaceful year." The nice thing about his friendship with Sera was she often pushed him to do things he might not have otherwise, the far more daring of the two.
It was a relief to know there'd be at least one familiar face at his new school then, and Evan's entire countenance probably showed as much as the information set in and he smiled once more. "I'm glad to hear there is someone familiar! Maybe I'll luck out and we'll end up in the same class at some point." He imagined there was a few of their classmates flitting about there, but no confirmation on that information as of yet. Until now anyways. "Have you seen anyone else from school around there too?"
